Overall Plan Map

              We Started by 2.30pm.

The sun is radiating its whole energy towards the earth. It was a very hot day and our clothes were drenched with full of sweats. My eyes became red hot and my buddy too experienced the same. And now, we were looking almost like a drunker. By then we have reached a petrol bunk which was on the way, my buddy has asked for a 2T Shell Oil and paid to fill up the full tank. I was really confused at that moment, and demanded the reason for his activity. By the time he gave me a reply, I was totally stunned hearing his words, that the mad guy was very eager to move Nagercoil by this bike.

Actually the bike we were riding was an unconditioned one, it was bought by him as a second-hand bike. It can’t even cross a speed of 70kmph. As the trip was not a pre-planned one, we don’t have any sun glasses, helmets etc. Another great tragedy was, we have missed the way to tambaram and so around 1 hour was wasted in finding the right path. Finally we reached Tambaram by 3.35pm. By the time we reached there, the odometer was showing a change of 25kms from the point we started. Which shows that we have so far reached only 25kms in our journey. But still we have to go 675kms to reach our objective. My mind started thinking about it, as we were already tired of the scorching heat.

Then we decided our next check point as Tindivanam which is 98kms away from Tambaram. Our horrible eyes were searching for name board showing as ‘Tindivanam’. In the mean time I was trying to overtake a bus, a terrific Tata sumo suddenly overtook us at the same time. I didn’t expected it, and was just a miss from hitting the bus and finally we managed to escape. I was totally scared at that moment and my heart rate rose to its maximum. I had lost all my confidence and then handed the bike to my buddy. But my buddy was very energetic in riding. Within the next 10kms we had another shocking experience. The wheel bolt unscrewed, and the axle of the wheel almost came out. Again we escaped another tragedy. Since it was a Sunday we couldn’t find any mechanic shop nearby, so we started tighting the screw by ourselves and then moved with the bike by walk. Then finally we reached an mechanic shop and spent 2hrs there. And then moved to Tindivanam and reached by 7pm. And the odometer was showing that u have ridden just 123kms…But still we have to go 577kms.

We set our next set point as Tiruchy. Its 202kms far away from here. The road was under construction and we found very difficult to ride. Finally we reached Tiruchy by 12pm. As the time was 12pm we were feeling very hungry, so we preferred a hotel but I couldn’t eat even a single piece of food.

After Finishing Supper (In Trichy)
Again we decided our next check point as Madurai. For that we have to move forward for about 134kms. Further my buddy has rode the bike and finally we reached Madurai by 4am. Then we had a small shopping in Madurai Bus stand.

After refreshing ourselves, we departed from there around 5’o clock. Then my mind was set free and from there I started riding continuously towards Tirunelveli. Around 7.30 pm we reached Tirunelveli. Seeing a mirror in a shop we felt ourselves ugly and our eyes were turned blood red. There is no white spot in our eyes. We were totally exhausted. That was really a sad moment. Then we bought sunglasses to hide our eyes from dust particles. We have took some photos from there wearing sunglasses and then we left that place and continued our trip.

In Tirunelveli (after getting sun glasses)

White color Anto get changed as Blacky One(Tirunelveli)
We cant took photos further because the mobile get switched off. After that we move towards Nagercoil. Its 78km far away from Tirunelveli.

Then Finally we reached Nagercoil by 9.15am.

It was a nice experience for both of us. It was an unforgettable trip, as we have came through   lots of hardships throughout our journey.

TVS Phoenix Launched

Priced at Rs 51,000 for the drum brake version and Rs 53,000 for the disc brake version, the TVS Phoenix marks the company's re-entry into the competitive 125cc motorcycle segment.

TVS PHOENIX 125CC

Those considering an executive commuter have a new option in the form of the TVS Phoenix, which has been launched at a price of Rs 51,000(with drum brake) and Rs 53,000(with disc brake). Both prices are ex-showroom,Chennai.

On the face of it, the Phoenix appears like any other 125cc bike in its segment through certain styling and convenience features differentiate it from the rest in its segment and make it more appealing. These include a backlit digital speedometer with amber backlit, a digital fuel gauge, a low battery reminder, a trip meter, service reminder and soft touch switch gear. The bike also comes with petal disc brake at the front and "car-like" hazard lamps for enhanced safety. Another standout features is the huge 125cc decal plastered on the tank that adds to the bike's attractiveness and road presence.

Powering the motorcycle is a new 125cc "Eco Thrust" motor that develop 11PS of power and 10Nm of torque. The lean burning engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox and delivers a mileage of 67kmpl according to TVS. To improve ride comfort, TVS has employed a five-step adjustable "series spring" suspension and high response damper.

The Phoenix marks TVS re-entry into the competitive 125cc executive segment ruled by the Bajaj Discover 125ST, Honda CB Shine and Hero Super Splendor. Its first 125cc product was the TVS Flame which didn't quite set the sales charts on fire. However, TVS hopes the Phoenix will help it rise from the ashes(just as the mythological bird) and regain its position as the country's No.3 bike maker.Related: TVS Phoenix to launch late September.

TVS other plans include re-launching the 100cc Victor and two other scooters within the next 12 months.
